Dr. Gary Poppe is a seasoned general dentist with over 36 years of clinical experience, dedicated to providing gentle, patient-centered care. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry and has completed extensive continuing education, including advanced occlusal training at the Pankey Institute and implant training at the University of Oklahoma.

Dr. Poppe offers a full range of services, including restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, oral surgery, and endodontics. Known for his compassionate approach, he focuses on comfort, clear communication, and conservative treatment planning to help patients feel relaxed and confident in their care.

Throughout his career, Dr. Poppe has owned and operated a successful private practice for 27 years and worked in multiple clinical settings. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Virginia Dental Association. He has completed over 2,000 hours of continuing education in crown and bridge, oral surgery, implant restorations, and CEREC technology.

Committed to community service, Dr. Poppe has participated in dental mission trips to Suriname, South America, and developed oral health education programs for schools. He has also served as a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and on the Ambassadorial Scholarship Committee, supporting education and humanitarian initiatives.

Outside the office, Dr. Poppe enjoys hiking, traveling, fishing, camping, cooking, and spending time with his family and two grandchildren.
