Dr. McLaughlin is a Board Certified surgeon by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, who practices full scope oral surgery to include tooth extractions, dental implants, bone augmentation, temporomandibular joint therapies and diagnosis and treatment of various oral pathology.
Dr. McLaughlin grew up in Philadelphia, PA and entered military service upon graduation from Loyola College, Md. He attended Louisiana State University where he earned his DDS in 2003. In 2004 he completed a 1 year General Practice Residency at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia. In 2010, he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency also at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia.
Dr. McLaughlin has served in many roles during his Naval career to include various tours overseas, aboard several different ships and carriers. Dr. McLaughlin is currently the Head of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery atBranch Health Clinic, Naval Station Norfolk. He is married and has four children. His hobbies include water sports such as surfing, kayaking and swimming, although since coming to the Shenandoah Valley, we think snow sports may be in his near future.
